Vigilant can design and manufacture a built-in humidor cabinet in any size, shape or configuration. We have turned small cabinet openings into electronically controlled and humidified cigar humidors. The most requested style of cabinet is a humidor insert into an existing piece of furniture, a bar, wall, closet or kitchen cabinet.

Vigilant can design and manufacture a built-in humidor cabinet any size, shape or configuration. We have turned 5 ½” deep drawers and 8’ high bookcases into electronically controlled and humidified cigar humidors. The most requested style of cabinet is a humidor insert into an existing piece of furniture, a bar, wall, closet or kitchen cabinet. There are two ways to design and build such a humidor:

1. We build the entire “case.” That includes the body, shelves, drawers, etc., and the finished front of the cabinet. The finished front involves matching our cabinet to the customers existing door or drawer style, wood species and finish color. We are given the precise dimensions of the area where the cabinet will be installed; a wood and finish sample, along with the above noted specification requirements, and build the cabinet to fit.

2. We build the cabinet and you supply the finished front. In other words, we build a five sided box and you provide the door. This is usually done in cases where it is not possible or practical for us to match into the customers existing cabinet door fronts. You can send us the finished front door for us to hang in our factory or the install the door on site after the humidor is installed.

3. You build the cabinet and we supply the humidification system.
Other options and considerations to take into account are:
-Are you storing boxes, singles or a combination of both? This determines the need for drawers, with adjustable dividers for single cigars or shelves for box storage.
-What kind of hardware do you want? Hinges, knobs, locks and pulls can be provided by Vigilant or by the client.
-Do you want a standard 1 to 2 month capacity water reservoir or an automatic-fill adapter to hook our system up to a ¼” water pipe or hose?
-Do you want the drawer or door front to be solid wood, or a glass insert with a wood frame?
-Do you have a standard 110-volt wall outlet within 5 feet of the cabinet?
Please note that no venting of heat is required.
